Purpose Statement

The Industrial Maintenance & Automation Technician will have knowledge and hands-on experience with control circuits, temperature controllers, Allen Bradley PLCs, Power Flex drives, screw pumps, hydraulic systems, and centrifugal pumps. This role is critical to our TPM journey and the operation of the manufacturing equipment; contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of the site.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on all plant equipment, including mechanics and electrical control circuits, temperature controllers, Allen Bradley PLCs, Power Flex drives, screw pumps, hydraulic systems, and centrifugal pumps.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
  • Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using the SAP PM CMMS system.
  • Safety Compliance: Embrace and help to always sustain a positive safety culture. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to address equipment issues and improve operational efficiency. Serve as a subject matter expert on maintenance initiatives and processes.


Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

    • Technical degree such as Industrial Maintenance Technician with some automation background or equivalent degree, certification or experience.
    • Strong understanding & troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical systems.
    • Familiarity with computer programs such as CMMS and/or SAP experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
