Primary Job Functions: To safely and competently operate a school bus for the purpose of transporting Avon Community Schools' students to and from school and school activities on a daily basis.

Minimum Qualifications and Credentials Required:

1. Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent required
2. Possess Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrate adequate skill in driving a school bus and have knowledge of traffic laws.
3. Experience: None required, but must receive training to develop the necessary driving skill.
4. Certification: Must hold a minimum of a Operators Drivers License and an Indiana State School Bus Committee Standard Certificate (yellow card).
5. Other: Must be a minimum age of twenty-one. Must have a neat and clean appearance. Must be punctual, dependable, conscientious and thorough. Maintain high levels of confidentiality and attention to detail. Be an example of exemplary adult behavior for students and other employees. Project a genuine care and concern for all students. Maintain a good relationship with students, staff, parents and the community. Comply with all Corporation policies, procedures, and guidelines. Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

SALARY BENEFITS: $20.41. - $22.94 per hour
