School Bus Driver - Full Time

CDL Training is available.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Essential Functions: Safely and competently operate a school bus for the purpose of transporting Avon Community Schools students to and from school and school activities. Routes are established by the employer and are subject to change from time to time. Additional routes may be added with no additional compensation as long as the work day does not exceed an average of 8 hours per day based on a 40 hour work week.
3. Possess Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrate adequate skill in driving a school bus and have knowledge of traffic laws.
4. Experience: None required, but must receive training to develop the necessary driving skill.
5. Certification: Must hold a minimum of a Class B Commercial Drivers License and an Indiana State School Bus Committee Standard Certificate (yellow card). Must have passenger, school bus, and airbrake endorsements.

For those that do not currently hold a Commercial Drivers License, Avon Community School Corporation will assist with procuring the proper license and endorsements.

SALARY BENEFITS: $130.10- $142.61 per day depending on experience
