Position Summary

This position is part of the Enterprise Analytics & Reporting team which supports development of enterprise Business Intelligence applications across ECU Health. The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will work closely with clinical, business and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. They will partner with the business in a consulting role to help transform business analytical needs into actionable enterprise BI applications. This includes the design, and implementation of dashboards, reports and other various BI applications.

The BI Analyst-III will be responsible for structuring the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications, identify, research, and resolve technical problems. The BI Analyst-III will develop and implement BI solutions that will enable the business to use data as an analytical tool, display the information in new forms for the purpose of analysis, exploration and reporting. This position requires contributing to moderately complex aspects of a project. Key to this role is advancing the ECU Health BI maturity path by providing the necessary consultation, education, and capabilities in order to meet our corporate and strategic goals.

Minimum Requirements
  • Five to seven years related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

Preferred Requirements
  • Healthcare work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence & Data Visualization
  • 3+ years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects or equivalent enterprise BI stack (Webi, Crystal Reports, Explorer, Lumira, IDT)
  • 1-3 years of experience in BusinessObjects Universe design Proficient in SAP BusinessObjects Administration using CMC
  • Demonstrated knowledge of BusinessObjects platform architecture, installation & upgrades in both Linux & Windows server platforms
  • 1+ years of experience with implementing full lifecycle BI/DW solutions
  • At least three of the Epic Reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, Slicer Dicer, Epic-BI Integration) Proficient in building Enterprise BI applications with creative Data Visualizations
  • 2+ years of experience developing analytical metrics and measures for business/C-suite level reporting 5+ years of experience querying large relational databases using SQL
  • Proficient in Data Warehouse concepts & Dimensional modeling Working knowledge of ETL tools such as SSIS and Informatica
  • 2+ years of experience in at least two of the following programming languages (Java, C# .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, VBA, RESTful Web Services)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel to develop pivot tables, linking to external datasets & automating with VBA
  • Proven experience in leading medium to large size projects, manage stakeholder expectations and deliver results in-line with established objectives, budges & timelines
  • Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative, agile environment Understanding of HIPAA data Privacy and Security requirements
  • Certification in at least two Epic applications or data models obtained within 1 year of employment.
