Primary Responsibilities

HDR is looking for an entry-level Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our Data Solutions Group in Austin, TX. As a BI Analyst, you will join a team of Data Scientists, GIS Analysts, and Consultants on various projects focused on delivering data-driven solutions to business and engineering challenges. Candidates should have a curiosity for emerging technologies and possess a continuous-improvement mindset. Candidates must be able to collect and transform data, build data pipelines, build data models and dashboards, and generate insights. On a day-to-day basis, a BI Analyst will be expected to:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business decisions by identifying patterns and trends in data
  • Work independently and in groups, and be able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Develop data products including reports, visualizations, and dashboards
  • Adhere to software and data science development standards
  • Perform data acquisition, sourcing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
  • Create automated data pipelines and data engineering solutions
  • Work responsibly with confidential and private information'
