Responsibilities

This position is responsible for working with NWRDC finance team to assist with monthly customer billing, assisting with p-card reconciliations, working with customers on invoice questions and utilization report software. They will assist technical staff to ensure data for utilization reporting is uploaded and processed monthly.

Responsible for assisting with highly specialized professional accounting work for Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC). Ensures University compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations by auditing, analyzing, verifying and performing complex financial reconciliations. Prepares routine and ad hoc financial and operational reports. Assists with development of annual budgets and financial projections.

Processes NWRDC customer billing on scheduled and/or ad hoc basis. Communicates with customers regarding their invoices and works closely with NWRDC administrative, technical and fiscal staff to assist with and resolve financial and/or billing questions. Works to help resolve billing issues with customers.

Serves as NWRDC/SDC P-card proxy and performs p-card reconciliations. Serves as the backup p-card proxy for certain NWRDC p-card holders.

Monitors the business activities for NWRDC and SDC through maintenance and control of financial records. Provides for good administrative controls to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information. Provides financial projections, cost/budgetary reviews and recommendations that have significant impact on NWRDC's operations. Recommend, interprets and implements fiscal and accounting administrative policies and procedures.

Participates in approved professional development opportunities per NWRDC's policy. Professional development and training is defined as learning undertaken by the employee to maintain and advance their skills, knowledge and competencies, specifically as they relate and add value to the job and workplace.

Ensures standardized policies and procedures for this position are documented and updated. Assist with other business plan development that affects the organization as requested.

Processes NWRDC monthly customer utilization reports through NWRDC utilization reporting software. Works closely with NWRDC technical managers to ensure accurate reporting. Works closely with software support as needed to resolve issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications

Some accounting experience.
