Description

As the Business Systems Specialist, you will be supporting the growth of Granular Insurance by performing business process review, system design, and implementation management on projects and processes within the company. These include operational and project-based work in support of Granular's insurance customers and partners. This may include reviewing healthcare data, file specifications, internal systems and processes, data reporting and dashboard development, and working on technical and operational projects in varying degrees of the project life cycle; from ideation, planning, execution, and maintenance. You will also help administer systems and processes within Granular, including Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery data management and SQL processing. You will collaborate and support teams across Granular's Operations, Sales, and Underwriting groups and will serve in a business analysis function. You will also be working with a number of key stakeholders including company management, development partners, staff members, as well as the Verily technology teams supporting Granular.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in technical systems and workflows common within healthcare-data related industry and in building, fixing, and monitoring/maintaining systems and processes in support of that data. You will need to be able to work at a strategic level and in the details. You will need to feel comfortable working in a "start-up" environment where processes and systems still need to be defined and built. Understanding the data about our business is very important and you will need to be familiar with data definitions, analytics, and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Granular to meet project goals both as a participant and as a leader.
  • Familiarize yourself with healthcare data in support of claims, diagnosis, procedures, and payments.
  • Manage the intake, solutioning, and completion of business requests including help desk requests associated with data, reporting, and dashboard requests.
  • Administer data and data systems within multiple platforms including Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery data management and operations, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Reporting applications, and other systems as needed.
  • Create new, and adjust existing, technical and operational processes performing business analysis work and recommending changes to people, process and technology.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree (BA/BS).
  • 1+ years of experience in data management, systems analysis, and/or project management, preferably within health insurance or technology.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), analytical and presentation skills with outstanding attention to detail and ability to take initiative, build productive relationships and influence effectively across various levels of stakeholders.
  • Strong data, reporting and application skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to changing personalities and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in building solutions, including Salesforce.com, SQL management, Reporting systems.
  • Experience in building cloud-based software solutions.
  • Experience managing and responding to helpdesk requests.
  • Experience in managing data ETL processes and data reporting.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 - $80,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
