Overview

Part of the Engineering team, you are the driving force behind the creation of our products. You are responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge solutions and products that seamlessly integrate creativity and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring imaginative ideas to life while applying sound engineering principles. Responsibilities

The world's leading bath and kitchen manufacturer is seeking a CAD Design Engineer on our growing Ceramic Technical Design team. Leading engineering design and commercialization of new products, you will work closely with Advanced Concepts, Manufacturing, and Marketing to bring breakthrough innovations and best-in-class ceramic products to the Market, ensuring robust performance and manufacturability. The position necessitates a self-motivate, out of the box thinking individual who works independently and performs with a sense of urgency to deliver results. Strong time management and communication skills are required to provide the timing and schedules required to bring new products to market.

Responsibilities:

Lead Engineer for new product development projects

Responsible for technical design, prototyping, testing and tooling design

Ability to design using 3D surfacing modeling to create complex geometries using master modeling design technique. Preferred experience in Creo.

Work with suppliers to obtain the necessary information needed for design completion

Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D technical drawings and bill of materials (BOM)

Responsible for providing timing and reporting progress towards performance and schedule objectives

Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis, Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

Mentors, guides and supports less experienced team members

Qualifications

A Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

5 or more years of professional experience working in a related position

Minimum of 3 years professional experience using PTC Pro-E (Creo) 3D modeling software

Experience with GD&T, able to perform stack up tolerance analysis

Experience using WindChill PDM system

Self-motivated, who works independently with minimal supervision

Excellent interpersonal, communication & organizational skills

Strong project management and time management skills

Must be able to travel occasionally, within and outside of the US

Preferred

Experience in the design of plastic injection molded & thermoformed parts is a plus

Experience with ceramics is a plus

Experience in electro mechanical design is a plus; control systems and sensors

Strong understanding and experience working with industry best practices is a plus

Fluency in conversational Spanish and/or Chinese is a plus

Hiring Range

The Hiring Salary Range for this position is $60,000.00 - $89,000.00 annually. (Salary offer to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
