WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
DEPARTMENT: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
WORK HOURS: PRN Days Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Our electrophysiology (EP) lab unit is currently looking for a Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technologist. Busy procedural area servicing community and hospital patients. Procedures performed are cardiac implants and EP studies/ablations. Electrophysiology (EP) lab also offers: 4 10 hr rotating shifts (0700-1730). No weekends or holidays
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Education:
• Associate degree in Applied Science required or
• Other - Completion of accredited program in radiologic or cardiovascular technology required or
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
Experience:
• 1-year radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT - CT required or
• No experience w/ ARRT - CT
Licenses and Certifications:
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon required or
• RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire or
• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
SKILLS:
• Imaging Quality and Processing:
• Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
• Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
• Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
