Case Management Assistant

Description
Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who will performs a variety of duties to support the Case Management department.
• Facilitates communications with payers making sure all faxes, emails, phone messages are routed to the assigned URCM. Directly inputs data as necessary.
• Assists with obtaining outstanding authorizations and processing of appeals. Manage e-request queue.
• Composes, types, and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications.
• Performs clerical functions such as preparing and maintaining filing systems, sending outgoing mail, distributing incoming mail, etc.
• Greets visitors and communicates with patients and providers; receives, visitors and telephone calls and communicates messages promptly and accurately.
• Answers inquiries in a professional manner; responds to, escalates, and follows up on questions and problems as appropriate.
• Schedules/coordinates meetings, events, appointments, etc., as needed.
• Collaborates with nurse, scheduler, nursing units, etc. and other departments to facilitate schedule and patient progression.
• Enters accurate patient or case data into computerized scheduling system or into statistical reports/spreadsheets, daily or monthly, as required.
• Keeps office area neat and tidy and monitors and maintains office equipment and orders office supplies.
• Inputs Kronos exception forms daily, coordinates and ensures the timely completion of payroll.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Two years of college preferred
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Minimum Work Experience
One (1) year of experience in a administrative support position preferred.
Previous healthcare experienced preferred. Knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology.
