Under the direction of the Marine Regional Manager, the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) will serve as the Region's Tribal Liaison, Regulatory Lead and liaison with the Regulations Unit and Fish and Game Commission.The incumbent will serve as a member of the Marine Management Team and will provide analysis and policy recommendations on statewide marine Tribal, regulatory, and legislative activities. Other duties include assignment to special projects at the direction of the Regional Manager, serving as the primary point of contact for the Regional Manager, serving as the Marine Region liaison for legislative activities, and general Regional support activities.

Working Conditions
Ability to use a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings, work with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Travel may be required including visiting Marine Region offices and for tribal consultations.
