We are seeking a CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT to work at our Aspirus Wausau Family Medicine Clinic in Wausau, Wisconsin. Aspirus Wausau Family Medicine Clinic has 21 physicians seeing patients, including 15 residents and 6 family medicine teaching physicians. The clinic is a community-focused family medicine clinic, including a residency training program for physicians. The clinic serves a wide range of patients, including pediatrics, OB, family medicine, geriatrics, gender identity dysphoria, addiction medicine, pain management, and in-office procedures. Our clinic team works with the resident physicians to help them learn and grow as clinic physicians; watching their growth is rewarding.

Responsibilities will include

• Rooming and greeting patients for their scheduled appointments
• Checking vitals
• Administering vaccinations and medications
• Assisting with procedures
• Maintaining clinic records and documentation
• Collaborating with providers and other patient care staff to provide excellent patient care

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care standards and practices is typically acquired through graduation from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification or Registration is required or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Hours: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Monday- Friday. 7:30 am- 5:00 pm. No weekends or holiday rotations.
