Treatments are performed as ordered in a safe, timely manner. Staff and family members are involved in the treatment when indicated.

Medical documentation is in accordance with APTA standards of care.

Participates in performance improvement monitors, reporting and utilization of Physical Rehab services. Attends and takes part in in-services,

meetings, and educational sessions.

Promotes intra/inter positive departmental relations through both verbal and nonverbal communications.

Assists in adjusting schedules to accommodate changes in caseload in the department.

Ensures an orderly, clean, safe work area.

Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information appropriate for the age and needs of patients.

Displays an understanding and appropriately modifies approach to each patient based on the patient's cognitive, emotional, and chronological

maturity in the assessment, treatment, and care undertaken.

Results of performance improvement indicate appropriate response to patients and treatments/assessments initiated.

Participates in departmental in-services and meetings.

Meets with Occupational Therapist on regular basis to discuss patient and address goals.

Performs evidenced based care. Seeks out research to support interventions.

Attends mandatory meetings as required by the hospital or department.

Willingly participates in doing other duties although not directly assigned. Seeks out work that needs to be done.

Is accountable for cost-effective quality patient care and assists other personnel in containing costs.

Recognizes problems and recommends solutions for positive changes in operations.

Demonstrates an ability to adapt to changes in operations, management styles and position routines.

Assumes personal responsibilities for professional development and continuing education. Willingly participates in continuing education

programs when requested.

Responds to coworkers in a helpful manner, especially in times of increased activity.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education

Current South Carolina licensure. Current CPR certification.

Associate's degree from an AOTA approved/accredited program
