The Department of Health Promotion and Development (HPD) houses the Family (Individual Across the Lifespan), Pediatric, Neonatal, and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Midwife areas of concentration; courses in Maternity, Pediatrics, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics and Nutrition; and faculty conducting research and scholarship in these areas.

Minimum Qualifications for consideration:
• Qualify for tenure
• Qualify for the rank of an Associate Professor or Professor

o Associate Professor: A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the research foci within the School of Nursing is required. B) Evidence of an impactful program of research that is nationally recognized. C) Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity. D) Evidence of or potential for leadership in the field.

o Professor: A) An earned doctorate in nursing or a field related to the research foci within the School of Nursing is required. B) Evidence of a sustained and impactful program of research that is internationally recognized. C) Evidence of excellence in teaching and mentoring and contributing to a learning environment that values inclusivity. D) Evidence of leadership in the field.
• Be licensed or eligible to be licensed in nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Can provide evidence of performing or potential to perform administrative responsibilities related to managing academic and curricular activities and providing an environment where faculty are successful.
• Have a program of research that is in alignment with one or more of the research foci within the School of Nursing. The current research foci within the School of Nursing include Digital Health, Genomics, Cancer Survivorship, Aging and Gerontology, Sleep and Circadian Science, Health Services and Policy, Maternal/Perinatal and Reproductive Health, and Nursing Education.
