OVERVIEW
As a Change Communications Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication during IT change initiatives. You will team with Organizational Change Management consultants to collaborate with project teams in creating communications strategies that align with the project goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation:
- Develop client-facing communications, including emails, newsletters, presentations, and intranet content.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise language for non-technical audiences.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with stakeholders (employees, leadership, clients) to gather feedback and address concerns.
- Foster a positive perception of IT changes by emphasizing benefits and addressing potential challenges.
Change Adoption:
- Promote desired behaviors and actions related to IT changes.
- Create awareness campaigns, training materials, and FAQs to support adoption
QUALIFICATIONS
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex information in a simple, relatable manner.
Change Management Knowledge:
- Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.
- Understanding of how communication impacts change adoption.
Project Collaboration:
- Ability to work closely with project managers, IT teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Adaptability:
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adjusting communication approaches based on project needs.
Experience:
- Previous experience in change communications, internal communications, or related roles.
- Experience in IT or technology-related environments is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Prosci, CMP) are advantageous but not required.
- 2-5 years of experience.
