The Sr. Communications Specialist position is responsible for supporting the Internal Communications & Employee Engagement group. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to develop and execute company and project communications plans and activities in alignment with company objectives, culture and brand values. This person will also oversee team process, tools and measurement to drive efficiency and assess effectiveness. They will have the opportunity to build their strategic problem solving and client relationship skills, while also recommending new processes and procedures that help the Internal Communications team work more effectively. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Internal Communications and Employee Engagement.

Ways you will make a difference
- Coordinate regular updates to our team policies, standard operating procedures, corporate brand guidelines and assets, with delivery to the organization
- Develop and source content for internal communications channels, including the corporate intranet, Microsoft Engage and monthly newsletter
- Draft general material and content for Internal Communications & Employee Engagement projects (emails, employee materials, signage, etc.)
- Support coordination and execution of all-company Town Hall meetings (virtual or in-person) and annual all-company event
- Oversee organization-wide communications calendar (inputting, mining and aggregating information) in partnership with cross-function teams
- Support update, overhaul and redesign of company intranet
- Serve as a liaison between Corporate Affairs and external partners in support of special projects and campaign initiatives
- Support and coordinate employee engagement activities and events (employee celebrations and volunteerism, etc.)
- Create and/or maintain trackers for internal communication measurement (web link analytics, QR code tracking, etc.)

Contributes to flawless program and project execution:
- Responsible for a variety of project coordination tasks, in partnership with cross-functional teams (writing timelines, drafting emails, taking notes, budget tracking, vendor database and invoice processing, calendar input and alignment, design requests, finance assistance, etc.)
- Supports program planning by researching budgets; taking notes at meetings; managing timelines; attending brainstorms; managing purchase orders and managing vendor relationships
Experiences that will support your success
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Corporate Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a similar field required
- 2 - 4 years of related experience in Communications is required; CPG / Food industry is desired, but not required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and use of AP style
- Graphic design experience a plus, but not required
- Fluency in conversational and formal Spanish is desired, but not required
