A chemical engineering and manufacturing company based in Norwich, CT is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to sit onsite in their Norwich, CT location. This candidate should have strong understanding of chemical engineering principles such as heat transfer and material balances. This person will be hands on in the production line overseeing operators and ensuring process is running smoothly and efficiently. Aspects of the production line include: pumps, plug flow reactors, glass lined batch reactors, continuous centrifuges, and distillation systems etc. Day to day this person will be starting up chemical lines, monitoring process from the control room, and assisting operators with equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
Experience managing process lines for chemical based equipment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Mechanical aptitude or mechanical engineering background
SCADA - PLC systems
