In this role, as a Chemical Process Safety Manager (PSM)/Risk Management Professional (RMP) you'll work in our Construction Management Water group and will be responsible for reviewing the PSM and RMP requirements, manage and mitigate exposure risks to operational, managerial, and construction staff, as well as the public, during construction, start-up, and close-out of the work, and ensuring all PSM and RMP requirements are updated, as necessary, for the duration of the work. Your contributions will also be to prepare tracking documents and assure that the Construction Management, Design, and Contractor teams follow all requirements on the project site. You'll prepare reports as required by the client. You'll be a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams regarding any chemical PSM/RMP requirements. Your experience will be valuable as you help supervise our less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project and mentor others.

Typical salary range for this position is $142,500 to $187,125 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead coordination and tracking of the chemical safety and risk issues of an active construction site.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Familiarity with NYC water treatment facilities/chlorine facilities and their maintenance and operation
  • Experience with Community and Public Relations.
  • NYCDEP experience is a must
  • Experience with site safety training related to Chemical Safety.
  • Ability to coordinate with a large group of site staff including the Construction Management team, the Design team, the NYCDEP Client and Operations staff, the Contractor's management staff and trade workers.
  • Proficiency with Word, excel, and other office software.
  • Possess time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
