Chipton-Ross is seeking a Circuit Design Engineer for a hybrid contract opportunity in Orlando, FL.

This position is 50% remote, 50% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The best candidate will have excellent communication skills, complex circuit card design experience including high speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, etc.), as well as familiarity with Systems On a Chip (SOC) / Multi-Chip Package (MCP) solutions and Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) verification and validation testing needs at the circuit card level.
Architect, derive requirements for, design, develop, host design assurance reviews, and implement circuit card(s) and cables for early prototype ASIC testing
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Experience with complex circuit card design including high speed interfaces (PCIe, DDR, etc.)
o Experience of board integration with testing tools including power supplies, Digital Multi-Meters, Oscilloscopes, Electronic Loads, Data Acquisition devices
o Experience capturing flowed and derived requirements for digital designs
o Experience deriving test requirements for digital designs
o Experience with Cadence PSpice or equivalent for circuit simulation and analysis
o Experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner or equivalent for schematic capture and layout
o Experience with Mentor Graphics Hyperlynx or equivalent for signal and power integrity analysis
o Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of design engineers and internal stakeholders at all levels
o Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and agile environment to meet an aggressive schedule
o Self-starter who can fully engage with other personnel on the program and operate with minimal direct supervision

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Familiarity with SOC / MCP solutions and ASIC verification and validation testing needs at the circuit card level
o Familiarity or experience with parts and materials selections
o Ability to perform design trade studies; evaluating cost, weight, packaging, power benefits
o Familiarity with CAMEO

Accredited HSD/GED

Full-Time 4/10 work schedule
1st Shift
