Citrix Analyst, Systems Administration

This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations: St. Petersburg, FL; Memphis, TN; Southfield, MI.

Job Summary

Raymond James is looking for a new Citrix Analyst/Systems Admin position within the DW-Virtualization team supporting the expansion projects ranging from HSZ expansion to Cloud based VDI leveraging Citrix and Azure, and W365 delivery systems. This position will further remove risk of a single source of knowledge and responsibility and allow for more expedient innovation with Cloud adoption and client virtualization technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains complex systems.

• Performs implementations and upgrades in compliance with security guidelines.

• Ensures availability, security and integrity of assigned systems.

• Monitors systems, including setting alerts to maintain the stability of the environment and monitoring error logs. Troubleshoots or escalates issues as needed.

• Evaluates and identifies ways to automate, streamline, and improve day-to-day maintenance and administrative practices.

• Installs or coordinates installation of patches and releases on development, test, pre-production, and production systems.

• Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding application availability.

• Serves as central point of contact and as a liaison to other IT departments and vendors regarding installations, server maintenance, licensing and upgrade issues.

• Effectively manages communication between end users, vendors, and IT departments to solve production, pre-production, test, and t environment problems quickly.

• Creates and maintains accurate system run book for assigned systems.

• Maintains current description and documentation of application configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments.

• Assists in capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning on assigned systems.

• Participates in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans.

• Participates in project meetings supporting business objectives.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Previous Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree MIS, Computer Sciences, Business or related degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience preferably in systems or application administration or a combination of education, training and experience as approved by Human Resources.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Maintaining and managing Citrix application

• Technical and conceptual mastery of Citrix virtualization solutions ( Virtual Apps, Virtual desktop, PVS, AppSense, NetScaler, FSlogix, VMware (vSphere) and Cloud Gateway.

• Maintain multiple XenApp / XenDesktop images through monthly image updates.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilitie

• Knowledge of Windows 365 and AWS

• Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and environment

• Process automation; ability to use advanced scripting language, i.e., PowerShell.

• System monitoring; Splunk, Datadog and ControlUp preferred

• Knowledge of IP network design and principles, Windows OS, Intel-based hardware configurations and components for workstations and servers; security best practices; MS Active Directory; Storage Area Network technologies; system monitoring and event analysis; virtualization concepts and technologies; Group Policy
