Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to join new Florida our team. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a valid Class A CDL license with experience driving automatic and manual transmissions. The driver will be responsible for safely transporting goods on a tractor trailer from one location to another while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining security of the cargo.

T he driver will make the following trips daily operating a tractor trailer:

• Depart Florida facility hauling trailer to Love's Travel Stop in Yemassee, SC where you will meet another Yarde Metals Class A driver operating a tractor trailer carrying materials to swap trailers.
• Return run with full tractor trailer to Sanford, FL facility, following all DOT and FMCSA hours of service and load securement regulations
• This is an overnight run 6:30 PM - 3:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Safely transport goods from one location to another.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain the safety and security of the cargo following all DOT and FMCSA load securement regulations.
• Follow all DOT and FMSCA hours of service regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other team members.
• Represent company in a professional manner at all times.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license
• Clean driving record
• Proven track record of driver safety
• Automatic transmission but experience driving manual strongly preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Experience in long-haul trucking
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel long distances
