This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7am and 7pm CST, position is 10:30am-7pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends.

We offer 2 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound dialer and manual calls to members in regard to cancer support services
  • Take inbound calls from members regarding cancer support services
  • Determine if the consumers are eligible for a health program
  • Schedule initial appointments with a nurse
  • Must have accurate documentation
  • Must meet monthly metrics
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word (create, edit, save documents) and Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save spreadsheets)
  • Experience working with a PC and windows applications, with the ability to learn other sometimes complex systems
  • Any experience working within the healthcare industry
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to work an 8 - hour shift, 40 hours a week, between 7:00am -7:00pm CST, Monday through Friday. Position is 10:30am-7pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience in a clerical OR administrative support related role
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
