Shift Hours:
Casual Part Time 0.4 FTE (minimum of 16 hours per week). For the first couple of months the shifts will be primarily the day shift and will then transition to evenings.
Position Highlights:
The Children's Team at Bellin Health exemplifies a family-centered care approach that delivers expert pediatric care to patients 0-17 years of age. Staff receives in depth training to foster critical thinking and learn how to perform nursing skills on patients of varying developmental ages to provide the best care possible, optimize healing, and deliver an impeccable patient/family experience. Unique to our region, Bellin Hospital has 3 units that are operated by specialty trained pediatric staff:

The Pediatric Unit is an 8 bed unit that focuses on providing quality care to patients admitted for general medical reasons or surgical procedures. Other services provided in this area include outpatient infusions, lab draws, and Intermediate Medical Care for higher acuity patients. The unit is staffed 24/7 by pediatric hospitalists.

The 3 rd floor Short Stay is located within the Pediatric Unit. This area has 8 rooms used for pre-operative and post-operative care, 2 operating rooms, and a PACU that focuses on providing care to patients of all ages needing ENT day surgeries.

KidCare is a 5 bed extension of the Emergency Department that is open 7 days a week from 4:00-9:30 pm. During these hours, many patients under 18 years of age seeking emergent care will be seen by our pediatric staff

Job Description:

Responsible for providing patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Coordinates and processes department patient information; performs secretarial tasks, and maintains organized work flow of department. Functions as department receptionist, and responds to customer inquires or customer is referred to appropriate person(s).

Qualifications:
Listed on State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry required. Physical and Medical Rehabilitation and Emergency Department: Listed on Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Registry or current Wisconsin Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) license/certification required.

Previous customer service and medical office/health care experience preferred, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with computer/keyboarding skills required.
