This full-time Clinical Assistive Technology Specialist position is located at the Hiram G. Andrew Center in Johnstown, PA and is affiliated with the University of Pittsburgh, SHRS, Department of Counseling and Behavioral Health. The incumbent will do Assistive Technology evaluations for students with a variety of disabilities, including those who have blindness or visual impairments, and work with CART as new developments actively occur, including development of AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities:
- Perform assistive technology evaluations on students with disabilities at the HGAC.
- Perform assistive technology evaluations in the area of computer access and cognitive AT on customers with a variety of disabilities.
- Provide trainings, demonstrations, and evaluations outside of HGAC including clinics, schools, work sites, etc.
- Identify technology and/or intervention for client to best assist with higher functioning in a school or work setting, including classroom and work site modifications.
- Create recommendations and integrate solutions for person(s) with disabilities to promote greater independence.
- Provide education and training to patients, families/caregivers, interdisciplinary team members, and/or the community to share knowledge about assistive technology interventions.
- Maintain the computer lab and equipment.
- Design and modify equipment as directed.
- Provide appropriate supervision and training of students, interns, and observers as directed.
- Attend and participate in relevant trainings as related to disabilities and new CART initiatives such as AI.
- Perform presentations and help with APS academy.
