Description
The Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS) is an integral member of the Faculty Practice Group's Office of Population Health and Accountable Care (OPHAC) that would actively provide technical expertise on the automation of the manual and/or inefficient business processes within but not limited to the medical group business and the finance. Also, employing the principal of the best practice, OPHAC CIS would architect and implement the data infrastructure and associated data process improvements within but not limited to the financial and clinical quality aspects of OPHAC projects and/or processes.
Under the direction of OPHAC's Informatics Manager who reports to OPHAC's Assistant Director of Population Health Informatics, OPHAC CIS would exercise the best practice to improve and/or maintain OPHAC's data infrastructure to support and conduct financial and clinical quality analyses/reports for various OPHAC's initiatives and programs. With the deep understanding of Medical Group and Profession Billing operations, OPHAC CIS understands all aspects of the Solution/Software Development Life Cycle, (which includes but not limited to specification gathering (documentation), design, implementation, user acceptance test, and production rollout) and exercise it to automate the manual and/or inefficient processes when the automation/modification would yield improvement in efficiency and accuracy over the current processes. As an analyst, OPHAC CIS will provide clinical quality and financial analyses and will report the conclusion to OPHAC and other stakeholders. OPHAC CIS will be OPHAC's subject matter expert around all internal/external data assets that OPHAC uses for its financial as well as clinical quality analyses/reports and will be the main resource to provide insights on these data assets to other OPHAC team members. Finally, OPHAC CIS will be the subject matter expert on SharePoint, SQL, Tableau, and other technical/analytical tools that would be or currently employed by OPHAC to provide technical/analytical solutions and would propagate the technical/analytical knowledge to other team members to advance their technical/analytical skill set to accomplish OPHAC program/initiative goals.
Salary Range: $102,500.00-$227,700.00/annually
