The MGH Insititute of Health Professions is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our community.

The lab coordinator will support basic lab administrative functions as well as specific research projects, in a roughly 1:2 ratio.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTRATIVE TASK (include)

  • Assisting in recruiting and onboarding new lab members
  • Handling purchases
  • Assisting with grant-writing
  • Organizing the lab schedule
  • Maintaining documentation.


RESEARCH (support includes either)

  1. Testing human subjects of all ages, liaising with test sites, training research assistants, and conducting analyses or
  2. Supporting machine learning and AI-based research.


SUPERVISING

  • Will supervise undergrads and interns


TRAINING

  • There is no separate training period; on-the-job training & learning is expected.


Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, as well as at least a year of prior research experience.
  • Proficiency in Python or R is required.
  • Prior experience with either:
    • research studies with children or
    • machine learning or Bayesian computational modeling is strongly desired.


SKILLS/ ABILITIES

  • Attention to detail and excellent record-keeping abilities.
  • Proficiency in Python or R.
  • Ability to work with small children.
  • Ability to train research assistants to recruit and test children.
  • Ability to write and present research with support from more senior lab members.
