The Department of State Hospitals, Metropolitan State Hospital is currently accepting applications for Clinical Social Worker-Training and Intership Coordinator (Permanent/Fulltime) . Working Title: Clinical Social Worker-Training and Internship Coordinator (Health/Correctional Facility - Safety) .
The Clinical Social Worker (CSW) - Training and Internship Coordinator identifies and develops key competencies to help Metropolitan State Hospital (MSH) social workers professionally excel. In collaboration with the Chief of Social Work and and Supervising Psychiatric Social Workers, the Training and Internship Coordinator will identify activities, training/education needs, resources, and programs (formal and informal) which help social workers internalize their responsibilities, develop required skills and competencies necessary to accomplish institutional and divisional goals, and grow professionally. Primary duties will also involve coordination of the MSH Social Work internship program, including intern supervision, oversight of field instructors/preceptors, and communication with university affiliates.

Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Applicants must possess completion of Master's degree in Social Work program from an accredited school of social work and must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as either ACSW or LCSW.
