About the Role:

Arbour Counseling Services is excited to offer a Full Time Clinical Supervisor role for a LICSW or LMHC Clinician who is 3 years post-licensure in our Partial Hospitalization Program . This role is remote (though we could consider a hybrid of remote and in person in our Woburn clinic) . Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are group-based and short-term for individuals requiring a higher level of care . The Clinical Supervisor assists in the overall quality of the Partial Hospitalization Program, in collaboration with the Director of Partial Hospitalization Programs, by assuring that clinical services are in full compliance with applicable regulations, payer contract specifications and best practice clinical guidelines . The Clinical Supervisor participates in interdisciplinary treatment meetings, clinical rounds and performs administrative duties as needed . The Clinical Supervisor will supervise staff clinicians and clinical interns . The Clinical Supervisor may be required to conduct clinical intakes if needed . The Supervisor may be asked to provide supervision in our other departments.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct supervision to clinicians who have not yet attained independent licensure and graduate level clinical interns working within the PHP delivering services across the lifespan to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder.
  • Is available to help manage clinical crises as requested by Director.
  • May perform clinical intakes as requested .
  • Performs Utilization Review as requested .
  • Participates in treatment planning, dispositional and discharge planning as appropriate .
  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and rounds.
  • Maintains supervision notes.
  • Maintains client charts as appropriate .
  • Participates in supervision with Director.
  • Requires minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment .
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Fosters staff development and growth of team
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback to employees to motivate performance
  • Completes performance evaluations providing thorough feedback and goals to assigned staff by established deadlines
  • Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to staff; actively involved in resolving employee matters/issues
  • Maintains open communication through regular rounding and one to one meetings with employees
  • Ensures staff comply with assigned education requirement in a timely manner (i.e., CIA Training, HIPAA training, competencies, etc.)
  • Responsible for holding staff accountable with upholding facility policies/procedures and managing the corrective action process when needed
  • Actively participates and champions the facility's Service Excellence and Recognition Programs
  • Develops team building initiatives to engage staff and build a positive team dynamic
  • Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for all staff within the team

Qualifications
  • LICSW or LMHC
  • Must be 3 years post-licensure
  • CANS Certification preferred (also able to obtain after hiring if needed)
  • Nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills
  • Familiarity with support groups
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds
  • Excellent time management skills to maintain appointments and timely record keeping
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
