The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The HARRIS CENTER") is looking for a Clinical Team Lead to join our team. Under the general direction of the practice manager, the clinical team leader provides supervision to clinical staff providing services to consumers receiving services according to Resiliency and Disease Management guidelines. Must be able to manage staff effectively in a collaborative team environment. This position may require flexible working hours and involve travel. Supervision may be both field and clinic locations. Coverage may be required in the absence of the practice manager, lead clinician or rehab coordinator.

Your role in Action:
  • Effectively seeks to assure that employee job related skills are developed with required competency levels and quality is adhered to.
  • Provides clinical supervision to designated clinical staff to facilitate optimal supervision in the performance of clinical activities (includes counseling, identification of skills deficits, coaching through daily organization, time management, chart/case reviews, caseload requirements, etc.).
  • Evaluates work performance of staff supervised and institutes written disciplinary actions for substandard performance when needed in collaboration with the lead clinician or care coordinator and/or practice manager (to include but not be limited to productivity, standards, compliance with RDM eligibility and service provision requirements, treatment plan authorization and documentation, and data submission).
  • Monitors clinical practices of supervised staff through application of theoretical knowledge and effective clinical expertise to clinical situations
  • Assists supervised staff with presenting their cases in clinical staffing/discussions for intervention strategies
  • Ensures supervised staff work collaboratively with the treatment team to facilitate continuity and effective clinical care delivery.
  • Facilitates a positive and productive work atmosphere through modeling successful professional behavior and promoting continuous interdisciplinary interaction and problem solving.
  • Participates in patient care monitoring to review the quality of clinical care and provides relevant feedback to supervised staff.
  • Provides clinical services and coverage as needed for supervised staff and arranges for coverage to ensure continuity of services.
  • Works collaboratively with the clinical trainer to identify and provide job related training.
  • Models customer driven values based on consumer needs, priorities, and choices within the resources available.
  • Participates in the hiring and termination process of supervised staff in consultation with the practice manager.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned by practice manager or lead clinician in the absence of the practice manager and lead clinician.
  • Performs related work as assigned. Adapts to changing work requirement
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.
  • Complies with agency policies and procedures, accrediting/regulatory bodies and performance contract documentation requirements.


What qualifications you will need:

Education:
  • Master's degree (M.A.) from four-year accredited college or university with a major in a social, behavioral, or human service field, including but not limited to: psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human development, gerontology, and educational psychology.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the mental health field.

Other Key Qualifications:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), LMFT.
  • Maintains current licensure with appropriate state licensing regulatory board.
  • Must be able to manage staff effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and be insurable under Agency policy.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
  • Must have basic knowledge of principles of the development, implementation and documentation of individualized care and treatment for a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
  • Strong communication skills, listening and interpersonal skills above average, written documentation is clear, concise, well- constructed and grammatically correct.
  • Able to work collaboratively with others in a teamwork environment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. Able to execute standard word processing.
  • Must be able to work autonomously in a fast paced environment.
