Cloud Data Architect - Google Cloud - Direct Hire - Remote EST Hours - W2 Only

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and propose technology solutions to expedite the delivery of IT services aligned with business needs, emphasizing reusability and consistent patterns.

- Lead initiatives to establish and oversee enterprise IT cloud architecture, ensuring that data management and architecture are prioritized.

- Develop, promote, and communicate standards, guidelines, and procedures for IT cloud architecture.

- Actively engage in the Architecture/Design Review Board processes.

- Play a significant role in implementing and managing the IT estimating process.

- Research and assess emerging technology trends in the industry and market.

- Identify business cases for integrating emerging technology solutions into delivery processes when applicable.

- Ensure that technical solutions are comprehensive and encompass end-to-end business processes.

- Provide advice to the wider organization on options, risks, cost-benefit analysis, and system impacts in line with established technology strategy.

- Collaborate with product owners, project management, and IT leaders to align architectural patterns with project goals and requirements.

- Lead or participate in initiatives for vendor management, with a focus on enhancing vendor service delivery.

- Work with Business and IT Leaders to establish cost-to-serve baselines for major business capabilities.

Job Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience

Experience:

-Minimum of 10 years of senior IT experience in cloud architecture and developing business capabilities

-Experience building out a Data Lake

-Direct involvement in architecting Google Cloud platforms

- Experience in data management, architecture patterns, and large-scale application platforms

- Proficiency in platforms and database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, and SQL

- Preferred experience in Agile software development (XP and/or Scrum)

- Knowledge and application of Enterprise Software Design Patterns

- Experience with Application-to-Application integration

- Aptitude for mentoring developers

- Demonstrated ability to provide valuable insights during uncertain periods

- Strong partnership and communication skills

- Demonstrated leadership in organizational change management
