Position Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant provides assistance in the examination and treatment of patients, under Physician/Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner supervision, in the ambulatory service clinical setting. Duties include: chart review before patient clinical visit; assisting physician with procedures/treatments; equipment operation; assisting patients in preparation for examination/procedure; performs venipuncture; specimen collection and submission to appropriate laboratory; cleaning and sterilization of instrumentation; order and inventory supplies; records and documents in medical record; maintains examination/procedure room supplies; assists with efficient patient flow; assists with orientation of new staff; and participates in quality assurance programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• High School degree or GED equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant and successful completion of the Medical Assistant Exam required.
Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:
Certified Medical Assistant requires successful completion of the AAMA Medical Assistant Certification Exam.
Medical Office Assistant certification is preferred.
Must maintain certification/ registration throughout employment.
Valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification required every two years.
Work Experience:
Three plus years of experience required. Preferably in a medical practice/healthcare setting.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.15 per hour - Maximum $26.32 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
