Job Summary Under general supervision of the Manager of the Office of Research and Graduate Education, and direction of the Director of the Pacific Southwest Center of Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases, this position is responsible for designing outreach materials, preparing regular reports on center activities, evaluating center programs, and planning meetings and training programs for the center. Duties will require working closely with many center partners in the Pacific Southwest region, including researchers, public-health agencies, vector-control agencies, and other collaborating organizations. Functions as a community resource, provides leadership to PacVec collaborators and acts as subject matter expert for the center.
This position is eligible for hybrid work.

Minimum Qualifications

- Experience working independently to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple complex and detailed projects, adapt to changing work priorities, and perform interrelated tasks.
- Skills to multi-task with demanding time frames.
- Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students, and other center partners.
- Skills to maintain a highly service-oriented approach in the unit and work seamlessly with center partners and other school and campus units.
- Writing, editing and proofreading skills to produce reports, outreach materials, and correspondence.
- Ability to interpret and adhere to federal and private grant terms and conditions, budget allowances, reporting requirements, and policies regarding use of grant funds.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn center-relevant scientific subject matter related to vector-borne diseases.
- Bachelor's degree in biology, public health, entomology, or a related field.
- Experience with event planning.
- Experience with development or assessment of educational curricula or programs.
- Knowledge of UC Davis and campus resources for research.
- Skills to transform concepts into program ideas, plans, and activities.
