CNC Machinist, Night Shift

Night Shift CNC Machinist

As a Night Shift CNC Machinist, you will:
  • Program mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Regularly perform milling, drilling, and tapping tasks.
  • Attend to machines while they execute tasks and programs and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Operate a Hilo and overhead crane in accordance with our safety policies
  • Provide continuous communication with team members to ensure efficient work flow
  • Provide help and support to a passionate team

  • Tool and Die Makers, Machinists, Maintenance Team, Leadership Team

Who you will report to:
  • Machining Manager

Your environment:
  • Collaborative and fast-paced tool and die shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Competencies:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous machining experience with large CNC mills, Worknc experience a plus
  • Programming and controls experience is required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and desire to learn and grow
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and produce expected results
  • Punctual and reliable

Shift:
  • Night shift starting at 4:00pm.

Pay:
  • Dependent on experience, +10% Night Shift Premium.
