Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Programmer in Westminster, CA.
As a(n) CNC Programmer you will:
- Programming: Writing and optimizing CNC programs for lathes and milling machines using software like MasterCam.
- Setup: Setting up CNC machines, including selecting and installing the appropriate tools and fixtures.
- Operation: Running the machines to produce parts, ensuring they meet tight tolerances and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving any issues that arise during the machining process.
- Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications, using tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
- Documentation: Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
- Collaboration: Working with engineers, machinists, and other team members to improve processes and ensure efficient production.
- Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance on CNC machines to keep them in good working order.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years of experience in programming and setting up lathes with live tooling (mill/turn).
- Proficiency in lathe programming and live tooling (mill/turn) using MasterCAM or similar software.
- Skilled in setting up and selecting tools on CNC lathes.
- Experienced in running parts with tight tolerances.
- Knowledgeable in GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Background in aerospace manufacturing.
