IMECH engineers and manufactures radial bearings, thrust bearings, and other critical components for the oil and gas downhole drilling tool market. Additionally, IMECH's proprietary coatings and heat treatment methods are applied to customer-supplied components for other applications in the oil and gas, mining, power generation, and plastics industries.

What will you do? Your day to day success is determined by your ability to:
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations include wearing required PPE.
  • Manufacture a quality coated product by following written and verbal instructions.
  • Follow all standard procedures and specifications daily concerning tasks such as handling rejects, recycling materials, and scrap.
  • Continue to learn and assist in developing new techniques for new products.
  • Accurately measure and record all pertinent data.
  • Quality check products using inspection techniques to verify coating thickness, adhesion, and appearance.
  • Identify and correct defects by performing adjustments to overcome deviations and document discrepancies in materials and/or process accordingly.
  • Communicate to management any quality issues and non-conformances.
  • Utilizes various measuring tools to ensure products are conformed to visual and dimensional specifications.
  • Monitor inventory of raw materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Participate in continuous learning opportunities.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

With Quality in mind, you also bring the following:
  • Two years of previous work experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Two Year Technical Degree accreditation preferred.
  • Excellent team skills; collaborative, open-minded, adaptable.
  • Experience in leadinga team an asset.
  • Motivation to self-advance and grow within the company.
  • Basic mathematic, geometry and mechanical skills are required.
  • Basic measurement and print reading skills are required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Precision and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to control application tools precisely.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem solving.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Passion in delivering accuracy and quality as a priority.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to be on feet for long durations.
  • Activities such as lifting or pushing/pulling.
  • Activities where repetitive movement is required.
