Commercial Electrical Estimator / Project Manager

Locally owned and operated commercial electrical contractor that is currently seeking a commercial estimator/project manager to develop detailed electrical estimates and be able to manage these projects through final completion.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Actively pursue bid opportunities for construction-related projects.
• Prepare change orders, quotes, assist in estimating, perform bid analysis on each bid completed. Coordinate bid reviews with operations.
• Perform advanced takeoffs, read, and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to create bids.
• Coordinate and ensure complete and appropriate communication to all project stakeholders throughout each project, including regular status reports, updating bid board, accurate and detailed bid presentations and assisting with RFQ's.
• Help to build and maintain relationships with contractors and customers.
• Develop pricing throughout all phases of the design process and be able to convert budgets into a final bid product.
• Issue and track RFI's and change orders.
• Keep field and office staff up to date on changes.
• Help ensure that projects are being built in accordance with the current National Electrical Code.
• Oversee materials submittals and procurement.
• Attending project meetings as required.
• Track costs for each project

Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional Excel skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of electrical construction bid processes.
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational skills, set timelines and assist in coordinating pricing.
• Possesses strong abilities to multitask and adjust work efforts as needed.
• Proficient understanding of construction processes.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bid Software

Experience:

• Electrical Estimating: 5 years (Required)

Salary: $52,000.00 - $83,200.00 per year
