What You'll Be Doing:
As a key part of the Community Development team, you will provide financial and administrative expertise, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of our projects and initiatives. Specific duties include:
- Monitoring and preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Supporting long-term financial planning for both operational and capital needs
- Handling general accounting functions
- Contract administration
- Developing and maintaining cost allocation models, rate models, and other financial tools
You'll also work on current and upcoming projects like leading the department's biennium budgeting efforts and assisting with the creation of a Data Management and Reporting Strategy to enhance our efficiency and transparency.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
We're looking for someone with a strong mix of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration. Ideal candidates will be able to:
- Use software applications to manage budgets and financial models and to manage data and reporting
- Interpret and apply relevant laws, codes, and regulations
- Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
- Manage projects and collaborate across teams
- Conduct thorough research and analyze data
- Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain detailed records and prepare technical reports
- Handle confidential information with care
- Train team members and interpret policies

Acceptable Experience and Training
- Associate's degree with at least 4 years of related experience (a Bachelor's degree may be required depending on the assignment), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
