Job Description

The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a Compliance Specialist II to support all departments at MURR by creating, revising, routing, and issuing documents and manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

The Compliance Specialist II serves as a subject matter expert in the management, maintenance, archival, and reporting of records for the MURR facility ensuring regulatory compliance with the FDA, NRC, and other regulated entities.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Serving as a subject matter expert on database maintenance and Quality Management Systems pertaining to Document Control and Records Management.
• Providing guidance to MURR staff on Document Control policies and procedures, and contributes updates to all Document Control and Records Management policies and procedures.
• Ensuring document review and approval processes are complete and accurate. This position prepares documents for regulatory and subcommittee review and approval, as well as revises documents post-committee review to ensure compliance with committee recommendations.
• Supports all aspects of the cGMP program at MURR, including the preparation, verification, and archival of production batch records; creation of production batch labels; and issuance, receipt, and archival or logbooks.
• Provides support during FDA and NRC inspections, as well as customer audits.
• Serves as a backup custodian for security related documents as mandated by the NRC, including the secure storage and retrieval of such documents.
• Creates and formats documents in Microsoft Word using advanced features such as Templates, Styles, and Track Changes.

Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity working in a regulated environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Salary Range: $18.50 - $27.00
