Come join our exceptional Department of Neurobiology, and help lead the advancement of cutting-edge basic science research into explorations of the brain and central nervous system. In this Connectomics Research Assistant (SRA 1) position you will: * Assist in animal surgery to brain splice histological data for analyses. * Research into connectomics and neuroimaging using animals as models. * Ensure strains are separated and neuroimaging splices are appropriate per experiment. * Maintain animal colony, including weekly tracking of subjects, breeding, and disposal. * Maintain data collection logs, including database management and tracking of surgical specimens. * Conduct research experiments in accordance with laboratory and safety protocols. * Collect field and/or laboratory measurements and data. * Compute results for a variety of research procedures, tests and techniques. * Prepare chemical solutions for experimental use. * Handle and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols. * Maintain and organize laboratory supplies.
