Why does the job exist?

The Constituent Services & Outreach Coordinator - Advanced will:
  • Provide active customer service to field offices;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with constituents, staff and the PIO to promote public relations for Child Support Services;
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate outreach efforts using various techniques and media outlets to provide clear, concise, accurate information about our services to our customers.


How does it get done?

The Constituent Services & Outreach Coordinator - Advanced is responsible for:
  • Handling customer concerns made through the Governor's office, The HCA Office of the Secretary (OOS), the Director's office, federal partners or any other entity and respond to the concern in a courteous, professional, and timely manner;
  • Consulting with management and other staff to assess problems with delivery of Child Support Services Department (CSSD) services and review log for trends to minimize repetitive concerns;
  • Ensuring CSSD is providing appropriate services;
  • Developing customer content for the Child Support page of Health Care Authority (HCA) website by partnering with ITD and the PIO to format and post content to the Child Support's page;
  • Developing and maintaining a Resource Guide for CSSD field offices to distribute to customers;
  • Attending public events to promote a positive Image of CSSD and providing constituents with helpful child support information;
  • Meeting with CSSD partners to develop and coordinate programs with other agencies, maintaining positive relationships and strategizing with ongoing outreach efforts;
  • Organizing outreach events to promote the services of CSSD.

  • In Marketing, Public Relations and Social Services
  • Working under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  • Responding to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Preparing and performing outreach activities and materials
  • Creating and maintaining databases and websites


Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, Education, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology and/or Family Studies/Services and four (4) years of any combination of experience including working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management experience, behavioral health and/or health care. Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting: late hours and weekends work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel may be required. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints. Must have own mode of transportation. Incumbent may be required to furnish a personal vehicle for carrying out assignments.
