Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Engineer V for our Sullivan County, NY office location that will start up around September. This is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description
AECOM is currently seeking a Construction Engineer V for our Sullivan County, NY office location that will start up around September. This is contingent upon contract award.
This person will be responsible fore but not limited to the following:
- Support the Construction Manager & Construction Engineer.
- Supervise all design and construction activities associated with the installation of a buried High Voltage transmission line as well as the supporting civil infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the construction contractor activity to develop an efficient and cost-effective plan to implement the work, within the scheduled timeline and budget.
- Promote an environment that promotes project safety protocols particularly as it relates to contractor work activities.
- Monitor adherence to approved plans, specifications, and appropriate governing code.
- Interface with the construction contractor's work force, primarily with management but also foremen and field supers, as appropriate to implement the work.
- When necessary, point out conditions that may lead to unsatisfactory work. Report as required per project work plans.
- Identify deficient contractor work, monitor, and verify that the Contractor effectively corrects deficient work. Record and drive to resolution corrective actions in accordance with project work plans.
- Monitor Contractor compliance with the Contractor's Safety and Health Plan and with specific Safe Work Plans. Record and drive to resolution corrective actions in accordance with project work plans.
- Monitor and ensure Contractor's compliance with the approved Contractor's Quality Plan in coordination with Quality specialists on-site including Contractor's and stakeholder representatives.
- Document construction activity related to the progress of the work and any issues that may arise.
- Make a thorough record of the work observed by completing and submitting a Daily and Monthly Project Construction Report, through collaboration with the project team.
- Leverage digital tools to complete work and documentation.
- Assist in developing cost estimate, design program, work scope, resource planning & schedule, reporting and forecasting.
- Mentoring, developing, and training of junior staff.
- Complete other duties as assigned/required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field + 8 years of related experience and/or education.
- U.S. Citizenship required, due to the nature of the work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- Candidates with electrical training.
- At least 10+ years of experience working on construction projects in construction management.
- OSHA 30-hour safety course certification preferred, or ability to obtain within six months.
- Experience with the installation of high voltage buried electrical transmission line.
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence and project success.
