Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Office Engineer for its New York, NY office. AECOM has been performing underground storage tank replacements for the City of New York since 1992. This active project is entering the construction phase and requires additional personnel. We expect this project to continue for several years and expect additional contracts to be awarded in the future. We are looking for a candidate to fill the specific current need but must have growth potential. We anticipate future needs at higher levels, with upward mobility for successful employees.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Document project progress.
• Manage contractor shop drawings.
• Provide RFI assistance.
• Verify schedule, labor, and material quantities.
• Prepare contractor payment requisitions.
• Prepare AECOM invoices.
• Prepare contractor change orders.
• Formulate construction contracts and bid packages.
• Provide occasional field inspection support.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements:

• 5+ years of office engineer/construction/field inspection work experience
• Experience monitoring project oversight, document review, inspection, QA/QC, contractor supervision and coordination
• Strong analytical, computer, and written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project scheduling software
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adhere to deadlines

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $76,329.30 - $108,769.26.
