Primary Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Construction Inspector 2 are inspection of highway, roadway, and bridge construction activities, planning, scheduling and coordination of construction inspection, quality assurance inspections of bridge and transportation projects, including foundations, paving, earthwork, coordination with contractor, other inspectors, surveyors and materials testers as well as documentation of the project progress. Responsible for maintaining accurate daily reports of construction site activity, field measurement for progress payment and produces required reports on progress, safety, quality, schedule and budget status. Takes a leadership role in absence of the Resident Engineer. Coordinates with others for documentation for contractor progress pay estimates. Does calculations to support the technical aspects of the work including shoring, falsework and quantities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 10 years' experience working in construction inspection and management.
- This position requires a valid driver's license and compliance with HDR's vehicle policy.
- This position may be subject to a pre-employment drug test and drug and alcohol testing during the course of your employment based upon HDR's Drug Testing and Drug Free Workplace Policy
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Engineering
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required, Prolog, Primavera, etc. desired.
