Job Description and Duties
CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR II (LIMITED TERM) - FACILITIES & DEVELOPMENT / SOUTHERN SERVICE CENTER
The reporting location for this position is negotiable between Sacramento and San Diego counties. This position will work under the direction of the Senior Landscape Architect.
This position is a 12-month Limited-Term position that may be extended and/or become permanent.
The Construction Inspector II will perform construction inspections in conjunction with public works construction projects to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, applicable codes and safety regulations as well as monitor daily construction activities and overall progress. The Construction Inspector II will conduct inspections in recognition, coordination, and enforcement of issues relating to building materials and workmanship, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Historic Building codes, Federal and State Wildlife Restrictions, Permitting, Accessibility guidelines and all other applicable mitigating requirements during the course of project development and construction.
This position requires a valid Class C driver's license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver's license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
