Perform damage and repair assessments to infrastructure
Oversee preparation of public bid packages for repair/construction of infrastructure
Make routine inspections of facilities to assess and determine construction and/or repair operations
Attend preconstruction and in-house design review meetings
Coordinate with consulting engineers/architects for the production of necessary construction plans and specifications
Review construction plans and specifications for completeness and code compliance
Prepare and maintain records and reports
Prepare and issue permits and verify compliance with permit requirements
Provide direct supervision over City Engineering Technicians and Engineering Inspectors

Required Skills & Experience

5 years of civil/site/utility/environmental construction or engineering experience
Valid drivers license
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Must be able to lift and move up to 45 pounds

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Construction, Engineering, etc
