Summary
  • Working onsite with the Project Team to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for a wide variety of large scale and cutting-edge industrial projects focused mostly in the Central Ohio and SW Kentucky regions.
    • Project types - across a wide variety of industries and clients - range from:
      • factories/production facilities,
      • data centers,
      • EV battery-related facilities,
      • semiconductors,
      • renewables,
      • advanced manufacturing
  • Any experience in various aspects of construction - MEP, concrete, structural, earthwork - are strong pluses as we have a variety of specialized and generalist roles available.


The initial project will be located in Hopkinsville, KY with an estimated duration of (24) months.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule (Primavera P6).
  • Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of deign conflicts; contractibility reviews, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and administer work controlling documents (submittals, RFI's, expediting material deliveries, payment of Subcontractors/Vendors and Owner pay requests).
  • Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
  • Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule.
  • Oversee all pre-construction services, design-build services, and business development for the project.
  • Work with Superintendent to control job costs and production budgets.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely monthly cost, income, and cash flow projections.
  • Coordinate, price, and assist Project Manager in settlement of change orders and claims.
  • Respond to issues quickly; proactive in problem solving; handle multiple tasks.
  • Manage time and organizes office and filing system efficiently; organizes and maintains accurate project correspondence files.
  • Maintain subcontractor insurance certificate compliance.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent technical training and related experience.
  • (0-5)+ years of similar construction engineering experience in Heavy Industrial projects.

  • Any experience in various aspects of construction - MEP, concrete, structural, earthwork - are strong pluses as we have a variety of specialized and generalist roles available.


Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
