As a Consulting Support Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the Consulting Support Specialist I/IIs in providing assistance to practice unit employees and partners of Forvis Mazars by assisting in various administrative and operational tasks. This is a highly detailed position that requires strong adherence to quality control standards. A positive attitude and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently is a must. Requirements of this position include the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism. Confidentiality is crucial to this role, and the candidate must be able to maintain and protect confidential matters.

How you will contribute:

  • Collaborate with MP, SLLs, and firm quality resources to ensure firm policy is followed in client file maintenance and workpaper retention across various practice areas.
  • Develop and demonstrate understanding in firm client acceptance, conflict check, and contracting systems and process to help initiate opportunities and monitor progress.
  • Participate in gathering data and performing analysis for use in the practice unit's annual financial budget, individual hours budgets, and staffing forecasts
  • Review expense reports, considering the appropriateness of expenditures, addressing any concerns or discrepancies in accordance with relevant policies.
  • Collaborate with Consulting region and national resources in accounting and finance for the accounts payable process, including vendor contracting, credit card purchases, and consistent review and approval of invoices.
  • Collaborate with Consulting region and national resources in Learning and Development and Meetings and Events to help organize and execute internal practice unit meetings, internal training/continuing education, and other events as needed.
  • Collaborate with Consulting region and national resources in HR to help support and monitor certain performance management initiatives and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Consulting region and national resources in Marketing to help organize internal communications, newsletter, internal market meetings, solution sheets, proposals, and other events regarding internal referrals. Develop understanding and generate reporting from client relationship management platform.
  • Manage operational projects for the MP, participating in setting the objectives of the project and exercising judgment in determining methods for project completion
  • Recommend and initiate opportunities for operational improvements, cost reductions, and system enhancements, developing or modifying administrative policies and processes as needed to achieve strategic and tactical objectives
  • Occasionally perform and back-up other team members primarily responsible for managing these systems during peak seasons or help cover during PTO.
  • Generate thoughtful analysis using this firm data to help monitor and analyze data at multiple levels (including practice unit, market, subservice line, and executive) with regards revenue, realization, working capital, utilization/productivity, and profitability trends.
  • Develop and demonstrate expertise in firm time management, client set-up/maintenance, billing/collection, resource management, and financial reporting systems and process.
  • Collaborate with Managing Partner (MP), Service Line Leaders (SLLs), and other executives to enhance operational processes and embrace change initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Market Suite
  • 3 years or more of experience in a similar role
  • Associates Degree, Bachelors degree preferred
