Job Description:

Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area, especially DoD contracts/customers, and in-depth knowledge of contract management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.Requires advanced experience in complex contract negotiation and comprehensive knowledge within professional discipline.

Essential Functions:

• Seeking an established leader to take on a Lead Contracts role overseeing large, complex contracts, along with providing direct support to internal stakeholders on contract strategy, risk, and execution.

• Must have experience and advanced knowledge in DoD contracting, data rights, and contract implications with technology development and Intellectual Property.

• Responsible for RFP review and risk assessment, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for assigned contracts/programs within an Enterprise
• Serves as the primary communication conduit between L3Harris and the respective customers
• Provides a proactive voice in the business process and direct support to Enterprise Directors and business leaders
• Provides proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
• Analyzes material estimates, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Prepares bids and proposals
• Prepares and conducts negotiations
• Processes specifications, progress report, and other reports
• Ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and determine priorities while working on multiple assignments
• Dedication to meet customer deadlines
• Ability to negotiate contract terms and conditions with commercial and US Government customers
• Conducts change management process with internal team and communicate equitable adjustment rights to customers
• Utilizes contract sales order system to record contract awards and modifications
• Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and strategy during pursuits/programs
• Compiles and analyzes data as required
  • Maintains historical information for assigned contracts
  • Ability to clearly present information to broad audience, inclusive of management

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in a business or related field and a minimum of 9 years' relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, CAS
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Experience with DoD Contracts, complex negotiations, and space contracts.
