Prepare, cook, store and inventory food for patients, cafeteria, and catering as directed in retail and patient services. Perform serving duties in retail and patient services as assigned.

Qualifications:

Functional Accountabilities
Culinary
  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes and production sheet needs to include portion control, garnishing and presentation.
  • Continue to improve cooking skills through flexibility in assignments.
  • Store leftovers and prep food using proper labeling and within timeframes.
  • Inventory food items as assigned.
Safety/Sanitation
  • Maintain appropriate records of food temperatures, production, waste and usage.
  • Maintain and ensure food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment throughout shift according to the standards of the department, hospital and regulatory agencies.
Communications
  • Communicate to Management all food quality and availability issues, equipment status, customer and staffing issues.
Safety
  • Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance
  • Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation
  • Stop in the face of uncertainty and takes time to resolve the situation
