Prepares food and menu items in a safe and timely manner according to production sheets and recipes using standard portions for residents, guests, and catered events. Demonstrates knowledge of proper serving portion weights. Able to increase productivity/complete additional tasks during periods of high activity while maintaining compliance with established policy/procedures and demonstrates flexibility using team-oriented behavior.
Applies food preparation, storage, and sanitation principles. Performs proper labeling, dating, storage, and rotation of food items according to department safe handling principles. Follows proper food preparation and sanitation techniques and records all hot and cold food temperatures according to departmental policy. Demonstrates proper handwashing techniques according to infection control standards.
Demonstrates knowledge of safe equipment operation and cleaning. Demonstrates proper safety techniques when using/operating equipment according to manufacturer and departmental procedures.
Demonstrates knowledge of specialized diets. Demonstrates understanding and prepares specialized diet foods (ADAA, low sodium, etc) according to recipe guidelines to comply with physician orders and resident preferences. Serves food on tray line according to spread sheet/directions. Responds to residents, visitors, and co-workers courteously.
FT - 4 days a week; 32 hours/week; can offer varied shift times; every other weekend
